Wild Silver Needles

Wild Silver Needles
Notes of rose, magnolia and nectarine blossom with cucumber and a whisper of peach
About This Tea
Harvested from a wild forest in Yunnan’s Fengqing region, this rare micro-lot tea comes from a landscape steeped in legacy, where some of the world’s oldest tea trees still thrive. The buds are handpicked and then minimally processed, yielding an extraordinary white tea with a multi-floral aroma and intricate layers of flavor.
Widely admired for their beauty, the multicolored buds are covered in shimmering scales of baby leaves in shades of pinkish purple and silvery green. This natural phenomenon, ya bao or “shielding of the bud,” occurs in late winter and early spring—particularly with older, wild-growing tea trees—as a natural method of defense against sunburn during the peak of summer.
As you prepare and sip this tea, take in its beauty with all your senses. Notice the crystalline colors of the buds and the golden-green hue of their liquor. Savor the delicately sweet, fruity-floral flavor with notes of rose, magnolia and nectarine blossom layered with a whisper of peach.
We hope you enjoy this rare tea journey and feel connected to the ancient forests that brought it to life.
